Amanda has a love of treating patients with a caring and soothing attitude. She has been trained in multiple modalities, and has worked all over the nation. She has certifications in Neurology, Psychiatry, Acute Care, and Family Care. She has further sub-specialized training in headaches and migraine treatments, including Botox, occipital nerve blocks, multiple medications, and many holistic options.
Her love of the brain began with a board certification in Psychiatry. She quickly began to understand that one brain is not the same brain as another, and she individualizes treatment for each person. She encourages you to participate in your treatment, and to develop a cohesive working relationship. She then transitioned to a focus on Neurology, and on Headache in particular.
In her free time, she loves to spend as much time as possible with her family in the mountains. Skiing is her favorite activity, although spending as much time as possible with her many animals may tie for first place! Born in Hawaii and quickly moving overseas, she has spent time volunteering in several countries and visited many more. Her travel goal is to visit all 7 continents, and she only has Antarctica to go!
